teaching

In our efforts to educate the next generation’s leaders in research, policy, and service affecting children and families, we offer a variety of opportunities for Duke students to become involved in work:  undergraduate- and graduate-level courses, an undergraduate certificate program, internships, fellowships and mentored projects.

In addition to the student engagement activities highlighted on this Web site, Center staff and faculty members assist numerous students on an informal basis.  These interactions include:

  • Inviting students to Center-sponsored lectures, seminars, and conferences;
  • Connecting students with visiting experts;
  • Advising students on translating research to policy and practice;
  • Advising students regarding academic and career choices;
  • Providing information about fellowship and internship opportunities;
  • Serving on graduate degree committees; and
  • Writing letters of recommendation.
